Program Goals:
+ Understand the self, Philippine society and culture through theatre, cultural performance, and live events;
+ Conceptualise and design live performance events;
+ Reflect on the role of theatre and performance in world histories;
+ Produce theoretically-informed research and creative projects in theatre and performance.
Program Tracks:
Theatre Practice. Designed for theatre and performance designers / theatre directors / stage managers / practitioners. The program requires 39 units of course work and a creative project approved and evaluated by the theatre faculty members and invited theatre artists as panel members
Theatre Studies. Designed for scholars / teachers / researchers / critics and those who would like to pursue higher education (i.e. doctoral program). The program requires 33 units of course work and 6 units of a master’s thesis.

Theatre 251: Studies in Playwriting
Theatre 291: Seminars in Selected Areas of the Theatre (maybe taken twice provided the selected areas of theatre are different)
Theatre 298: Special Problems

Application Requirements:
- Letter of application stating the applicant’s purpose(s) and specific field(s) of interest (original and photocopy)
- Official transcripts of undergraduate and graduate work, if any (original and two photocopies)
- Accomplished GSO recommendation forms from two (2) former professors and/or employers
- Two (2) copies of accomplished GSO application form, each with 2” X 2” photo
- Copy of marriage contract (if name on transcript is different from current name)
- Proof of experience in theatre production
- Entrance test or interview conducted by the graduate faculty
- Non-refundable application fee (payable to the Cashier’s Office)
- Php 100 (one hundred pesos) for Filipino citizens;
- Php 200 (two hundred pesos) for resident aliens; or US$25 for non-resident aliens
- Put all the requirements inside a long brown expandable envelope.
